Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
The short version: we collect very little, we don't use tracking or advertising cookies, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete what you've shared at any time. Here's the longer version.
What we collect, and when
- When you fill in the contact form, we collect what you choose to share: usually your name, company, email, company stage, and your message. We use it only to reply to you and to scope a possible engagement.
- When you book a call, our self-hosted scheduling tool (Cal.com, which we run on our own servers) records your name, email, and chosen time so we can meet.
- When you email us directly, we keep that correspondence for as long as we need it to help you.
- When you subscribe in the footer, we collect your email address and nothing else. We use it only to send you our own writing, we never sell or share the list, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. You can also just reply and ask us to remove you.
- When you apply for a role, we collect the details on the application form, your resume, and how you found the opening. That last part includes what you tell us in the “how did you hear about this role” field, plus the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, and which of our own pages you looked at on the way to the form. We keep those in your browser tab’s own session storage, never in a cookie, they are sent only if you actually submit an application, and we use them only to understand which hiring channels reach real candidates. Closing the tab discards them.
- That's it. We don't ask you to create an account, and apart from the subscriber list we keep no customer database beyond the conversations you start with us.
Who helps us process it
- Hosting & security: this site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare also provides Turnstile, a privacy-respecting check that confirms you're human when you submit the form. It doesn't track you across sites or build an advertising profile.
- Email delivery: contact-form messages and job applications are delivered to our inboxes over our own mail server. Resend stores our subscriber list and sends the outbound emails you asked for if you subscribed in the footer, and is also used for cold outreach.
- Scheduling: bookings run on our own self-hosted Cal.com instance.
- We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting, or any third-party tracking.
Cookies & browser storage
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. Turnstile may set a short-lived functional token solely to complete its security check. A localStorage value named aeolus-cookie-notice remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice on this site.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we're in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. If you subscribed, we keep your address until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will.
Sharing
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, strictly so they can do their job, and when the law requires it.
International transfers
Our public company address is 650 California St, San Francisco, CA 94108, and the company is also incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. Some service providers operate in the United States and elsewhere, so information you send us may be processed in those countries. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it travels.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've shared, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Depending on where you live (for example, under California's CCPA/CPRA or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have additional rights, and we're happy to honor them. Just email us.
